Skillset (top 3-5):
7+ years of SAP implementation experience.
Hands on configuration in PPDS
(a lot of times folks have strong process understanding. typically they come from strong process background (this role is technical. This person needs to know how SAP works and how to configure)*
Description:
Hands-on config experience in SAP S/4 Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS), MRP, Demand planning, Plant Maintenance (PM), Quality management (QM)
Expertise in MRP, Shop Floor Execution, MES Automation Integration, S&OP, Production Order Handling, QM Process, Plant Maintenance Process, Change Management, Pull Flow Implementation, KANBAN, S&OP, EDI
Experience in Production Scheduling, Forecasting Process, MRP Efficiency improvement, MES/MII Integration with SAP
Understanding and analyzing business requirements and translating them into system requirements, configurations, and customizations.
Dispositioning requirements that deviate from SAP Best Practices and effectively aiding the business in adopting standard out-of-box functionalities.
Conducting unit testing, functional and system integration testing, both functional and security, and triaging system deficiencies when they occur.
Ability to write functional specifications, test plans, conduct unit testing, train end users and troubleshoot enhancements to the base system.
Knowledge of discrete industry and manufacturing environment.
Ability to document business process and technical design.
Good communication skills to work closely with business users, SAP functional leads, SAP technical leads, and other areas.
Assist in the evaluation and selection of the best solution from possible alternatives.
Assist in the adoption of new business procedures resulting from system improvements, through the development of documentation, training, and communication plans.
Adhere to standards for software development and change management
Requirements
Minimum 7 years of experience configuring and implementing SAP Production Planning with experience with S4/HANA 1709 or higher.
Full life cycle SAP implementation experience.
Experience writing BPDs, functional specifications and working with ABAP developers to complete object development (RICEF) and testing.
Strong scoping/estimation, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical experience with the ability to root cause application issues.
Experience in Project management, Azure DevOps (ADO), Test case preparation, Unit testing, UAT support.
