Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at First Student, serving Guilford County Schools. Our shop is committed to ensuring the safety of the children who rely on us for transportation to and from school.About the RoleAs a Mechanic at First Student, you will play a vital role in maintaining our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe for road travel. Your diagnostic skills will be put to the test as you troubleshoot issues and perform repairs.Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
• Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner
• Assist with mobile emergency services as neededRequirements
  • 3+ years of experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a CDL (training provided)
  • Basic mechanic's tool set
  • ASE testing and growth opportunitiesWhat We Offer
    • $28 - $30.70 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
    • ASE incentive of $.25/hour for each relevant ASE obtained
    • Monday-Friday, 8-hour day, full-time shift
