  • Contract Duration:--Accepting contracts from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025.
    
  • Work Hours:--36 - 48 hours can be offered. Overtime will be offered after 48 hours have been reached.
    
  • Shift:--12-hour nights.
    
  • Weekend Requirement:--4 weekend shifts in 6 weeks, with potential for more based on staffing needs.
    
  • Float Requirement:--Required to float to like units.
    
    
    Required Skills and Certifications
    
    
    • 
      
    • Minimum 1 year of experience required.
      
    • Skills: IV start, Vents, Telemetry, CPAP/BiPAP, Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias.
      
    • Certifications: ACLS, BLS.
      
      
      Preferred Skills and Certifications

      • NIHSS certification is preferred.
        
        
        Patient Population
        
        Our unit primarily cares for patients with COPD, respiratory distress, COVID-19, flu, and pulmonary embolisms. We also manage chronic trach/vent patients, ensuring no nurse has more than one vent patient at a time.
        
        Special Procedures and Unit Details
        
        
        • 
          
        • High acuity similar to a med-surg unit with a 48-bed capacity.
          
        • Support from a team lead, respiratory therapists, and an assistant nurse manager on shift.
          
        • Resources include an Admission/Discharge nurse, Vascular Access Team, RRT, Code Team, and Behavioral Health Team.

          • Chest tubes, Drips: Dopamine, Cardizem, Heparin.
            
          • Vents, trachs, CPAP/BiPAP.

              • Scrubs: White or navy blue.
