All work is carried out under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.This position qualifies for our Pharmacy Technician Incentive Program, which includes $5000 in commitment incentives spread over a two-year period. Payment is made after six months, one year, and two years of employment. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, fulfills medication and supply orders for distribution to hospitals and clinics within and/or affiliated with the health-system. -2. Compounds and/or repackages medications (non-sterile products, oral, topical, etc.) under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. -3. Coordinates shipments to hospitals and clinics with multiple couriers and shipment pathways and ensures compliance with temperature requirements (i.e; cold chain, room temperature) -4. Documents pharmaceutical distribution activities for medications and equipment, quality control requirements, etc. using automated and paper systems. Ensures accuracy of data. -5. Responds to and triages requests from customers for assistance with pharmacy distribution or compounding services. -6. Supports hospital automated dispensing technology to supply correct refill medications thru targeted distribution programs. -7. Receives, restocks, and rotates inventory, and completes expiration date management. -8. Assists with training of new employees, educating them in job-specific functions. -9. Contributes to process improvement projects. -10. Participates in regulatory compliance inspection of medication storage areas, including inspections and/or controlled substance inventories, USP797 and other regulatory documentation as required. -Other InformationOther information:Education Requirements:--- None required as long as other position qualifications are met.
